Troubleshoot feeds and filters

Use these checks when a feed has unexpected rows or a saved change is not yet visible in its published file.

I changed a filter or mapping, but the file still looks the same

Saving settings does not replace an already published file. Open the affected feed and select Regenerate, or wait for its next scheduled generation. If the Product filters page offers Regenerate feeds after a change, that queues the listed affected feeds. Check the feed detail page for a regeneration notice or generation error.

A zero-quantity variant remains in the feed

Check which rule you used. Available for sale (backorders or untracked) is true can keep zero-quantity variants when Shopify allows backorders or does not track inventory. The default Keep in-stock items rule uses Quantity greater than 0 and excludes them. Open View / assign to confirm the built-in's current rule, check that it is Active and assigned to this feed, and regenerate the feed after the change.

A product row remains even though some variants were removed

A product remains when at least one of its variants matches all active assigned filters. If the feed uses Products Only or All Products & Variants, it can still export a product row for that product. Switch to Variants Only if the destination expects only individual matching variants.

A product row has a price but no SKU or option value

Product rows have one representative offer price from the first variant remaining after filters. They do not identify one sellable variant, so SKU, barcode, option values, and variant metafields are empty. Use Variants Only for SKU-level output.

A field is empty in the exported file

Confirm the Shopify product or variant has a value for that source. Product rows have no values for most variant-only sources. The Variant image URL source requires an image assigned to the variant; use Effective image URL if a product-image fallback is suitable. A metafield must exist on the correct product or variant and be accessible to the app. Missing mapping values export as empty rather than replacing them with another field.

The file has fewer items than expected

Review assigned active filters, Feed Content, and Max Number of Items per File. Filters run first; the selected content mode and feed limits then determine how many product and variant rows are written. A variant condition can remove one variant while leaving its parent product and other variants. A product disappears when none of its variants remain.
